Official Transcript Requests
College of the Canyons has appointed Credentials Inc. as the designated agent for processing and sending official electronic transcripts on behalf of College of the Canyons. The PDF transcript that is produced using this service contains the identical information as the printed transcript, and can be certified as unaltered by uploading the file to the company's website that is provided during the delivery process. Credentials Inc. has been granted the authority to deliver all such electronic transcript requests on behalf of College of the Canyons and respond to any inquiries regarding the transactions. You can order official transcripts anytime, 24 hours a day.
You will need a user name and password to use this option. If you do not have a user name and password, you can create one under the Student Profile through My Canyons. This will eliminate the need to come to the College, stand in line, or mail in a request. This service also allows you to check the status of your order and will communicate with you via email about your order.

If you need to send an electronic transcript by PDF, you must order your transcripts online. To request an official PDF transcript to be sent, you will select the recipient of "other". The transcript will then be sent as a PDF to the recipient you have requested.
If you would like to send an electronic transcript to a school that only accepts transcripts electronically through eTranscriptCA, please select the school you would like it sent to. The transcript will automatically be sent electronically if the school accepts it.
You may request your free transcripts in person. Your first two regular-delivery transcripts are free. The Admissions and Records office is located in Canyons Hall on the Valencia campus and in Quad 1 on the Canyon Country campus. (Please note: this service is suspended until the campus reopens to the public).
If you wish to mail in your transcript request, you may mail in a request for official transcripts that includes the following information:
- Other Last Name (if attended under other name)
- Student ID number or Social Security number
- Date of Birth
- Current Address
- Phone Number
- Last Year Attended
- Indicate IGETC - CSU Certification, if applicable
- Where the transcript is being mailed to
- Number of transcripts being requested
Send appropriate payment (if not requesting first two free official transcripts), sign the request, and mail it to:

We do not accept faxed transcript requests; you may only choose one of the three options above.
Processing Times - College of the Canyons provides three processing times for an official transcript. A regular transcript is processed within 7-10 business days, not including mail time. A rush transcript is processed within 2 business days, not including mail time. (Due to our working remotely, rush transcripts cannot be processed via mail at this time). An on demand transcript is produced at the time of request, and is hand-carry only. (On demand transcripts not currently available for pick-up).
Transcript Fees - Two regular transcripts are made available for free per lifetime. The request for your free transcripts may be made online during our closure related to the COVID-19 pandemic. (There will be a small handling fee charged, but there is no cost for the transcripts themselves). The following fees apply to transcripts:
Regular transcript: $5.00
Rush transcript: $10.00
On Demand transcript: $15.00
