The Department of Education expects to release the 2025-2026 FAFSA in late December. The date has not been finalized and could change at anytime.

Deadline to apply for a Cal Grant for Fall 2025 and Spring 2026
(Community College, University, State School and Private Institution Deadline)

2024-2025 Deadline to submit Verification Documentation for students who
last attended Fall 2024. A Pell applicant selected for verification must
complete verification by the deadline posted in the Federal Register, or
120 days after the last day of the student's enrollment, whichever is earlier.

last attended Winter 2025. A Pell applicant selected for verification must
complete verification by the deadline posted in the Federal Register, or 120

after the last day of the student's enrollment, whichever is earlier.
***IMPORTANT REMINDER***
Deadline for Corrections is September 21, 2025; therefore, students
submitting verification documentation after August 31, 2025 which need
corrections may not be processed in time AND may not be eligible for payment.

Department of Central Processing Systems (CPS) at Department of Education
must receive all corrections (student and/or school generated), by
September 21, 2026. Corrections submitted after CPS closes the year
for corrections, will not be processed. No exceptions!
