Changes in Enrollment Status

Fall and Spring Pell Grants

Fall and Spring Pell grants are disbursed in two payments per semester with the exception of Summer. Your first Pell grant disbursement will be based upon your enrollment status at the time funds are ordered from the U.S. Department of Education. Your enrollment status will be reevaluated and adjustments to your Pell grant disbursement will be made based on your enrollment status as of the time funds are ordered for your second disbursement or on the recalculation date/freeze date (if the recalculation date differs from the order date) or on the students' last day of attendance, whichever occurs first.

You may be required to repay all or a portion of the money you receive if you withdraw from any or all of your classes. Adjustments to Pell grant disbursements will no longer be made after the second scheduled disbursement (or recalculation date, if the recalculation date differs from the order date).

Fall and Spring SEOG and State Grants (Cal Grant, SSCG)

Fall and Spring SEOG and state grants are disbursed based upon your enrollment status at the time funds are ordered from the U.S. Department of Education, the California Student Aid Commission and the state. Adjustments to SEOG and state grant disbursements will no longer be made after the second scheduled disbursement.

Summer Grants

Summer Grants are limited to the Federal Pell grant and occasionally if funding permits, the SEOG. Summer SEOG grants are only available if funding remains for the SEOG program after Fall and Spring. There are no State Grants disbursed in Summer.

Summer grants are disbursed in one payment for the semester. Your Summer grant disbursement will be based upon your enrollment status at the time funds are ordered from the U.S. Department of Education. No adjustments will be made due to changes in enrollment status; therefore, units added after funds are ordered will not be counted.
