Welcome to Intermediate Algebra for Statistics course. My name is Andranik Hakobyan, and I will be your instructor for this course. Feel free to email me if you have questions or need help. This orientation letter will provide you with helpful information as you prepare for our class.
This course introduces intermediate algebra topics and the basic elements of exploratory data analysis.
What to Expect in this Course
Regular attendance is required. You must attend the first class meeting via Zoom at the scheduled day/time. Any student absent on the first day will be dropped unless I am notified in advance with a valid reason. You need to be available and will be expected to join our weekly live Zoom sessions throughout the semester. If you cannot attend regularly or on time, and stay for the entire duration of the class, it might be a good idea to take this class at another time that better fits your availability.
You will be expected to work on the course material consistently and keep up with deadlines (homework assignments, quizzes, exams). If you stop completing online work or stop attending our live Zoom sessions, you may be dropped from the course.
Types of Assessments
Online homework, quizzes, exams, final exam, group work, projects. All assignments will be assigned through the course canvas.
