## Introduction

Math-90 is a Co-requisite course for Introductory Statistics (Math 140).

Course Objectives- Math90:

1. Recognize, generate, and use equivalent forms of fractions, decimals, proportions, scientific notation, and percentages.
2. Construct, graph, and interpret Linear models in Cartesian coordinates to represent relationships in quantitative data.(Numerical vs. Numerical, Regression line, Scatter Plot)
3. Interpret slope and y-intercept of linear equations in context.
4. Use proper algebraic tools such as inequalities, intervals, radicals, and summation to describe (Population)Parameters and (Sample)Statistics.
5. Graphically represent the distribution of Categorical(qualitative) and Numerical(quantitative) data.
6. Describe statistical measures (e.g. Mean, Variance, Standard deviation) and their characteristics.
7. Use appropriate Marginal and Conditional percentages to investigate relationships.
8. Use statistical software to manage and analyze data.(StatCrunch)

## Course Description

This course will support your Math-140 class, where you will learn statistical methods including empirical and theoretical frequency distributions, sampling, estimation, hypothesis testing, correlation, regression, probability, counting techniques, and computer-based statistical software.

## What to Expect in this Course

This course will  be conducted by OnlineLive (zoom synchronous) method. You need a computer (laptop) with a camera. You need a Canvas account to access, and we will communicate with Canvas Inbox texting and Announcements. We have several quizzes and one Final exam. You need to submit your homework and other materials as required. The syllabus has the details.

## Types of Assessments

Math-90 course is Pass/ No Pass class. If you receive total points of 70 or more, you will pass this course. The syllabus has the details.
