Introduction

Hello everyone! Welcome to Statistics with Support! I teach Statistics for over 30 years and I love it.

This is a short term class. We will try to use the classroom time efficiently. After short lecture students will have time to work on HW. I always try to make sure the most of work is done during a class. At home you will need to review and get ready for exams.

Course Description

This course examines statistical methods including empirical and theoretical frequency distributions, sampling, estimation, hypothesis testing, correlation, regression, probability, counting techniques, and computer-based statistical software.

What to Expect in this Course

All material for the course is free on the Matt-Teachout.org. Each day that new material is covered, students will be expected to complete the associated daily assignments, mostly in class. We will have 4 chapter exams on Mondays. Questions on Exams are very similar to the HW questions and must be completed before the scheduled exam times/days. Late submissions of any work will not be accepted unless there is a valid reason. All due dates will be specified in the Syllabus/Work schedule.

Types of Assessments

Assessments will include daily section homework assignments, chapter quizzes relating to the section homework assignments, and a cumulative final exam on the last day of the course.
