Introduction
I am professor Rupa Sinha. This class is in summer 2022. This course will start June 6th and end on July 9th. This is a 5 weeks class. Since the class format is 100% online, there is no zoom meetings. All the reading materials and lectures, assignments will be in your canvas shell. I will hold an optional zoom on day 1. Details will be in canvas.
Course Description
This class is different than the other math classes. We will cover descriptive and inferential statistics that includes data analysis, sampling techniques, bias, confidence intervals, regression, hypothesis testing, relationship tests etc.
What to Expect in this Course
You will definitely need your canvas shell. We will have one project, chapter exams and Final exam. No required zoom meetings since this class is 100% online.
Types of Assessments
You will have online exams, online discussion boards, and written assignments.
Textbook Information
We will use a free OER book wrotten by Matt Teachout. I will upload the book in canvas chapter and sectionwise. Well you can also access the book on his website.

Often the pressure on our students is very strong, involving academic commitments, relationships, outside jobs and family pressure to name a few. The staff and faculty of College of the Canyons are here to see you succeed academically and care about your emotional and physical health.
