Welcome Everyone to LinkedIn for Business! I'm excited to be a part of your learning experience as you build and perfect your personal and professional LinkedIn profile! 

Course Description

LinkedIn is the world’s most popular business-oriented social media networking platform. Use LinkedIn to develop business through relationship marketing. Optimize your company profile, develop content that engages a target audience, build your professional brand, market your company, showcase your credentials, get business advice, reconnect with former colleagues and connect with businesses around the globe.

What to Expect in this Course

Course Objectives:

Students will:

  • Promote themselves and their company with LinkedIn’s personal and company profiles.
  • Develop their LinkedIn strategy.
  • Find job opportunities through LinkedIn.
  • Analyze the potential to increase sales, customers, and popularity.
  • Develop business through relationship marketing.
  • Explores strategies for showcasing credentials, obtaining business advice.
  • reconnecting with former colleagues, and connecting with businesses around the globe

Types of Assessments

Noncredit Assessment
Most courses in the Career Skills Institute are offered as noncredit. All noncredit courses are Pass/No Pass. This course is a noncredit Pass/No Pass course. In order to receive credit for attending this course, participants are required to:

 Attend a minimum of 75% of the class periods;
 Fully participate in class activities;
 Complete assignments and project

Textbook Information / Link to ZTC Textbook

Students enrolled in this course will have free access to LinkedIn Learning materials, so there is no reason to pay for access. An email with instructions on how to register and login to LinkedIn Learning account will be sent to your MyCanyons email by early Monday morning. If for some reason you don’t receive the email with LinkedIn Learning account information, or don’t know how to access your MyCanyons email, please contact me as soon as possible. If you already have access to LinkedIn Learning from a previous course, you can keep using your login for this course.

Other Relevant Course Information

You will have access to the Canvas Course Shell starting Monday, the first day of class and you can start working on the course immediately. For week #1, you will see 3 Modules. Make sure to look at each item sequentially for each Module; Then you can return to any item in the Modules as needed.

Canvas

This course can be accessed on the first day of class via Canvas at https://coc.instructure.com. Log into Canvas using your CanyonsID single sign-on:

  • CanyonsID Username is your COC student email address (Ex: username@my.canyons.edu)
  • CanyonsID Password is your COC student email password
