Welcome to NCESL 3A!  I will be your instructor. I have been teaching English as a Second Language since 2010. My goal is to help you learn to build upon your language skills. In this course we will be meeting on Zoom ONLY and working in Canvas. Please be sure you can sign into Canvas and accept the course NCESL3A to view the Zoom Link as well as check you College of the Canyons student email by clicking "Office 365" in your Canyons Id Student account.

 

Course Description

Intermediate-high level grammar, writing, speaking and listening with cultural lessons will be covered in this course.

What to Expect in this Course

You will receive the Zoom course link 2 days before the beginning of class in your COC student email. You need to create a student email account if you do not already have one. In addition, you will need a reliable laptop and microphone with stable Internet connection. Course assignments, homework and quizzes will be on Canvas and will require independent and group collaboration. Expect to spend 1 hour at least a week on Canvas. We will meet on Zoom in a live class Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays 6pm-9pm from August 22, 2022 to October 13,2022 - excluding holidays.Please see syllabus in Canvas.

This course can be accessed on the first day of class via Canvas at https://coc.instructure.com. Log into Canvas using your CanyonsID single sign-on:

  • CanyonsID Username is your COC student email address (Ex: username@my.canyons.edu)
