Welcome to the homepage for the Department of Political Science. If you take courses in our department, you'll learn how our society and others make political decisions. You'll come to understand the challenges that are inherent in developing public policy. You'll gain an appreciation for the fundamental ideas and choices that must be understood and addressed for any society and its citizens to achieve success. Your understanding of human relations, and even some of your values, may be challenged by the ideas and concepts presented. You'll be asked to think critically and to develop positions and viewpoints about the way our society and other societies should be. You'll become better informed about the political events that affect our country and the world. It's an exciting discipline that can lead to equally exciting careers.
