College of the Canyons utilizes an online application system.

Please review the note below and our important Online Application Instructions.

**Please note that instruction for Fall 2020 will be delivered primarily online. Teaching online with College of the Canyons requires either full online certification (36 hours) or equivalent OR an emergency certification of 7 hours offered through the College's Professional Development Office. If you are online certified through another institution, please include that in your application materials. If you are not online certified, and are approved for hire with the District, you will need to obtain certification through our Professional Development Office prior to being assigned online courses.

To become certified to teach online at College of the Canyons, you need to complete three courses:

  1. Intro to Teaching with Canvas (2 hours)
  2. Accessible Design/Section 508 (1 hour)
  3. Self-paced 4-hour course
