Instructions to apply online for employment opportunities


NOTE: Application system does NOT work with Google Chrome internet browser.

Steps to Apply:

  1. Click on the following:
    1. Academic Openings (Educational Administrators, Full-time & Part-time Faculty, Non-Credit Instructors)
    2. Non-Academic Openings – (Classified Administrators, Classified Staff, Temporary Part-time Workers)
  2. Click on the following:
    1. Classification under Jobs by Category
    2. Job Title
    3. Scroll down to “Click here for the complete job announcement” under Additional Links - READ before proceeding.
  3. After reading the job announcement, scroll to the top, DO NOT click on “Complete Application” YET:
    1. “My Profile” (tab on top):
    2. Create an Account or Sign In (to update your Profile)
  4. Complete all sections:
    1. IMPORTANT - All sections MUST have a green check. The system will allow you to proceed, but may NOT save your information.
  5. Click on the following:
    1. Find Jobs (tab on top)
    2. Under Jobs By Category: Click on position desired
  6. Complete Application (Blue button):
    1. Prior to applying, we encourage you to save your answers to supplemental questions listed in the job announcement in order to copy and paste later during the application process. There is limited time allowed and your answers will NOT save until you click Submit at the end.


  • You will be able to upload partial documents at this time and additional prior to the midnight of the review date.
  • Transcripts with degrees MUST show degree posted AND date granted on the transcript.
  • Required recommendation letters MUST be dated within five years of your application and signed. Please do NOT upload letters without the date and signature unless they are additional letters or optional. One formal, signed teaching evaluation (dated within the last five years and signed by Supervisor) may be substituted in lieu of one letter of reference. We accept reference letters through Interfolio and by fax at (661)362-5570.  Finally, we also accept reference letters without an original signature if they are emailed directly from the author's business email address to  Please note that we cannot accept emailed reference letters from a personal email address.
  • Please remove all personal pictures, birth date year, and social security numbers from all documents prior to uploading.
  • If you need to complete a applicant conviction history form, please use the following link: Conviction History Form

Application Status

The application system will show your application status and whether documents are still needed to complete your application.  Click and scroll down to upload required documents.  Any additional documents to be submitted prior to the Review Date or for ongoing Adjunct Instructor applications must be emailed to or faxed to 661-362-5570.

NOTE: WITHDRAW your application ONLY if you no longer want to apply for the position.  Once you withdraw, you will NOT be able to reapply to make changes.  If done in error, please email or call 661-362-3427. 

When should you hear back?

For positions with a review date, we will notify you either way within approximately three weeks from the review date.

For adjunct instructor eligibility pool applications, when there is a need by the department, your application will be reviewed for minimum qualifications.  Applications meeting the minimum requirements remain active for up to two years.  You may be invited to interview for a current opening or to be added to our eligibility pool.  If added to the eligibility pool after an interview, you will be notified by email and your application will remain active for another three years.
