 This position is a high priority for our District for the 2021-22 year and is contingent upon continue available district, grant and state funding.

 

"BIG PICTURE" RESPONSIBILITY:

This temporary, part time short-term hourly position as a Part time House Manager will assist the Operations Manager of the Santa Clarita Performing Arts Center on the Valencia Campus.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Assist in the Coordination, Communication, and Scheduling of Volunteer Ushers for Each Performance While also Overseeing the Ushers and Lobby Spaces During Events.
  • Prepare and Oversee Lobby/House for PAC events.
  • Follow and Enforce all PAC Emergency Procedures and Protocols.
  • Submit Accurate House Manager Reports Following Each Event.
  • Assist in Tracking Concessions Inventory.

DEMONSTRATED KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:

  • Candidates should demonstrate a record of professional/courteous customer service and display comfort working with the Microsoft Office Suite, electronic communication, and electronic devices.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Follow Established Procedures and Protocols.
  • Adhere to Established Timelines/Schedules.
  • Perform Basic Computer Skills (Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe).
  • Communicate Effectively (Written and Verbal).
  • Calmly Address and Diffuse Situations with Dissatisfied Patrons and Customers.
  • Display Strong Attention to Detail.
  • Display Great Customer Service Skills
  • Maintain a Confident and Calm Presence.
  • Work with People of Diverse/Varied Backgrounds and Unite Individuals as a Team.
  • Available based on event timelines which will vary depending on the week’s agenda (averaging approximately 16-hours per week).

 

SALARY PLACEMENT

$26.25-$29.50 per hour

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Position requires sitting and viewing a computer monitor for extended periods of time plus frequent periods of standing and walking, which may include climbing staircases; dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard and related equipment; reaching, bending, kneeling, crawling and stooping; frequently exert 10-20 pounds of force to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects; hearing and speaking to communicate and provide information to others; vision to read printed material and computer monitor; handling and working with various materials and objects; and travel from site-to-site.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

  • Successful completion of background fingerprint clearance and TB screening. 
  • Proof of eligibility to work in the United States and signing of loyalty oath per government codes 3100-3109.
  • Meeting applicable eligibility requirements under CalPERS or CalSTRS if you are a current or former member.
  • Board of Trustees approval.
  • Position is contingent upon funding and is subject to change.
