Common Course Numbering
Recently the California State Legislature passed Assembly Bill 1111, Common Course Numbering. This new bill requires all California Community Colleges (CCC’s) to adopt standardized course numbers and course titles to simplify the transfer process from colleges, like College of the Canyons, to a California State University (CSU) or a University of California (UC). Common course numbering will also improve transfer from one CCC to another.
The first phase of AB 1111 will be implemented beginning with the Fall 2025 semester. The new course titles and names have already been added to the Fall 2025 schedule of classes. Students who are registering for Fall 2025 should note the following course number and course title changes.
