Student Learning Outcomes


1. Write 400-word personal paragraphs at the intermediate level with minimal grammatical and structural errors.2.Respond to comprehension and analysis tasks of short literary and non-literary texts at the intermediate level.

Objectives

Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:

1. Identify key and supporting information through skimming, scanning, syntactic clues.2. Determine the meaning of unfamiliar vocabulary and phrases from context.3. Respond accurately to questions by giving examples, describing, predicting, and inferring from the text.4. Compose personal paragraphs with clear structure using accurate and appropriate grammar at the intermediate level.5. Compose personal and non-personal texts for different digital formats.6. Utilize target grammatical structures accurately in all writing activities.
