1. Those interested in having their exams proctored at College of the Canyons must contact the Testing Center to ensure we can proctor them on their exam dates. (We close down from time to time throughout the year.)
2. Inform your institution or instructor that we can proctor your exam. If they need more information, they can contact the testing staff at TLCTestingCenter@canyons.edu to determine if we are a suitable location to accommodate your exam.
3. If your request is approved, your institution or instructor must provide our testing staff with the exam and instructions. Please allow 7-10 business days for our testing center to receive your exam.
4. Make an appointment by calling (661) 362-3194 or sending our office an email. Make sure you know which campus you have scheduled your exam.
5. On appointment day, students must bring a valid photo ID, such as their driver's license, state ID, or passport.

CAMPUS MAP: Testing will take place in The Learning Center (TLC) on the Valencia and Canyon Country Campuses. Valencia is located next to the Library on the south end of the campus, closest to parking lot 15. Canyon Country is located in Room 316 of the Learning Resources and Student Service Building.

PARKING: Parking Permits can be purchased here. Permits are required in all lots, seven days a week, 24 hours a day. Failure to purchase a valid permit may result in a citation. Parking can be extremely difficult during business hours, so be sure to arrive well in advance of your appointment time to find parking.

APPOINTMENTS: Appointments are required for all outside university students. Please call the Testing Center at least one week in advance of your exam deadline to schedule an appointment.

Belongings: All belongings will be stored in a locker outside the testing room. (Including cellphones, bags, etc.)

College of the Canyons TLC Testing Center is a part of the California Community College Distance Education Proctoring Network. Students enrolled in an online course at another California community college in the network can choose College of the Canyons as a proctoring location. All students who test in The Learning Center (TLC) must agree to the Testing Center's policies. To set up proctoring, contact our office, and we will be happy to help you proctor your exam.

Students taking exams through BYU may choose to have them proctored at College of the Canyons Valencia Campus. Please order your exams before scheduling them with us.

• It can take 7-10 business days for exams ordered through BYU to be delivered to our testing center or two business days if using Express Mail shipping.
  • Though there may be an overall deadline for completing a course, some exam deadlines may differ.
  • Expired exams will be returned to BYU.
• Students must make an appointment to have their exam proctored at College of the Canyons by calling (661) 362-3194
  • Students without an appointment will not be offered an opportunity to take their exam.
  • Students with an appointment are required to bring a valid picture ID, such as their driver's license, state ID, or passport.
  • Belongings such as cell phones and bags will be stored in lockers during the exam.
