Outside University Exam Proctoring
Need To Take an Exam From Another Institution?
If you are enrolled at another academic institution and need your exam proctored in Santa Clarita at no cost, we can help you! College of the Canyons TLC offers a secure, low-noise environment for test-taking. Testing is subject to availability and operation hours.
How to Set Up Outside University Exams
- Those interested in having their exams proctored at College of the Canyons must contact the Testing Center to ensure we can proctor them on their exam dates. (We close down from time to time throughout the year.)
- Inform your institution or instructor that we can proctor your exam. If they need more information, they can contact the testing staff at TLCTestingCenter@canyons.edu to determine whether we are a suitable location for your exam.
- If your request is approved, your institution or instructor must provide our testing staff with the exam and instructions. Please allow 7-10 business days for our testing center to receive your exam.
- Make an appointment by calling (661) 362-3194 or emailing our office.
- On appointment day, students must bring a valid photo ID, such as their driver's license, state ID, or passport.
CAMPUS MAP: Testing will take place in the Tutoring and Learning Center (TLC) on the Valencia and Canyon Country Campuses. Valencia is located next to the Library on the south end of the campus, closest to parking lot 15. Canyon Country is located in Room 316 of the Learning Resources and Student Service Building.
PARKING: Permits are required in all lots, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Failure to purchase a valid permit may result in a citation. Parking can be extremely difficult during business hours, so please arrive well in advance of your appointment to secure a spot. Please purchase your parking permit prior to arriving on campus.
APPOINTMENTS: Appointments are required for all outside university students. Please contact the Testing Center at least one week before your exam deadline to get started. Before your visit, confirm which campus your appointment is at. Exams are not available during COC's final exam week or any campus closure. Visit the academic calendar for those dates.
Belongings: All belongings will be stored in a locker outside the testing room. (Including cellphones, bags, etc.)
