Confirmed Cases and Exposures

September 24, 2021

We are writing to provide notification about confirmed cases of COVID-19 that led to five exposures.

Two children with the Early Childhood Education Center who were last at the Valencia location on Sept. 17 began having COVID-19 symptoms on Sept. 18. The district was notified of positive diagnoses on Sept. 22. The center has closed the affected classrooms through Sept. 27 based on a quarantine start date of Sept. 18, and center families have been notified.

Contact tracing showed that five individuals were exposed. All who were exposed will monitor for symptoms.

As mentioned in earlier cases, we understand the desire to know more about these situations. However, we must balance the concern that we all have for our co-workers and students with privacy laws. With that in mind, we are not able to provide more detail that could identify these individuals.
