That will depend on if the grant is accepted. We have the option of building on the
Valencia or Canyon Country campus as well as off-campus options.
Will the Covid booster shots be available on the COC campus during the winter break?A few students have asked the dates of availability once the Fall semeser is over.
Since the college is closed during winter break, boosters will not be available on
campus.We’ll send information about booster availability in January as soon as it’s available
from our partners at LA County.
Regarding the weekly Covid testing for unvaccinated employees and faculty, receiving
a nasal swab test weekly is becoming quite irritating to many personnel and students
alike. Some of my students have complained about this. Is it possible for the testing
center to offer an in cheek test as an alternative? Some students are opting out of
taking classes on campus because of this issue. Also, how long does it take to receive
the test results?
We have discussed this with the county to see if that is an option. We will continue
to work wtih them on this option. It takes generally 24 hours to get a test result.
If an unvaccinated faculty member teaches on campus twice per week, let’s say on a
Monday and/or a Thursday, are they required to submit a Covid test twice per week?
