STEP 1: VIRTUAL APPLICATION WORKSHOP

Complete your SUMMER 2021 and FALL 2021 College of the Canyons online application with support from the COC Outreach Team.

Note: ALL high school SENIORS need to submit a FALL 2021 application as a FIRST-TIME COLLEGE STUDENT even if you have taken COC courses while in high school.

Access to Application Workshops will open 5 minutes before and close 5 minutes after.

Students will be admitted on a first come basis up to 50 students.

Prepare for the Application Workshop - How to Apply to College of the Canyons

Now that you have watched the video, make sure to complete the following before the workshop:

1. Have a personal email account (preferably not a high school email account), social security number (you may still apply without one), home address, know when your present stay in California began, and your residency status (example: permanent residency information).

2. If you have applied to COC previously, have your CCC Apply username and password available. If you have forgotten your username/password, visit CCC Apply to retrieve it.

          If you have NOT applied to COC previously, create your CCC Apply account before the workshop.

STEP 2: REGISTER FOR CANYONS ADVANTAGE PROGRAM 

After you have submitted a SUMMER 2021 and/or FALL 2021 college application, you are ready to continue with the admission process.  The Outreach Team is ready to welcome you to College of the Canyons and assist you in navigating through your remaining new student steps.

Select a date & session time and click on the link to complete the Registration form.  You will receive a confirmation with the Zoom link and password upon successful completion of the Registration form.

Registration will close 15 minutes before the scheduled session.

Remember to be on time! Sessions will open 5 minutes before the session time.  Sessions will close 5 minutes after the session begins.

The 4:00pm sessions are tailored to support students seeking to receive services from our Disabled Students Programs & Services (AAC) Department. The session will review the AAC application for services, the required documentation, and how to submit your information to AAC.

STEP 3: ATTEND A VIRTUAL CANYONS ADVANTAGE ORIENTATION

The Outreach Team will help you…

• Create your Canyons ID account and activate your My Canyons student account and email
• Learn how to complete assessment, advisement and orientation
• Learn about the Canyons Promise Program and how to sign-up
• Learn how to start your FAFSA/CA Dream Act application
• Answer your questions

Not able to attend an orientation session, but would still like the support? Visit our Ask Canyons Days to connect with us via Zoom or with your designated COC Outreach College Representative.

Sign-Up to the Canyons Promise Program.

• The Canyons Promise Program provides new, first-time, full-time college students entering for the fall 2021 semester the opportunity to attend College of the Canyons tuition free for their first two years (fall and spring semesters only). 
• The Canyons Promise Program Sign-Up is included in your Admissions Acceptance email.
• Students who participated in College NOW! and/or Dual Enrollment are eligible to sign-up.
