Parking

Parking passes are required to park on campus at all times. Students may park in any student designated parking lot or space. 

Parking permits are registered to an individual and cannot be sold or transferred. 

The purchase of a parking permit is separate from registration. You do not have to be enrolled in classes to purchase a parking pass. If purchasing parking to attend classes, please make sure that your schedule has been finalized and all anticipated CCPG waivers have been applied towards your account prior to purchasing a pass. 

All parking Sales are final.  College of the Canyons does not issue refunds for parking permits for any reason. For current parking requirements, please see Parking Pass Information

 

Student Representation Fee:  

In accordance with Assembly Bill 1504, all students who register on or after January 1, 2020 are charged the $2 Student Representation Fee.

The Student Representation Fee provides support for students or college representatives who advocate student and college positions or viewpoints before city, county, and district governments, as well as, before office and agencies of the state and federal government. The Student Representation Fee cannot be used to support individual candidates or campaigns.

Of the two dollars collected, one dollar shall be expended to establish and support the operations of a statewide community college student organization, recognized by the Board of Governors of the California Community Colleges, with effective student representation and participation in state-level community college shared governance and with governmental affairs representatives to advocate before the Legislature and other state and local governmental entities. The remaining one dollar will be used by the College of the Canyons Associate Student Government which represents all students at College of the Canyons.

Students may opt out of this fee on the date of registration or up until the refund deadline date for full term classes. (Second Sunday of the semester.)

Student Support Fee

The Student Support Fee provides for the operation of the Student Center Computer Lab in which students can access computers with internet access, laser printers, photocopiers and fax services. Additional Student Support Fee benefits include free entry to all COC athletic events, discount movie tickets and discount amusement park tickets. Please see the Campus Life & Student Engagement  for a complete list of benefits. To receive a refund or decline the optional student support fee, a student must opt out by the refund deadline date after the refund deadline date for the semester/term has passed, students enrolling for late start classes may opt out within one week of their initial enrollment. 

To opt out, forms are available at the Office of Campus Life and Student Engagement and the Student Business Office. Forms may be submitted during office hours or after hours by dropping off the form in the Valencia Campus SBO drop box (located in the front door).
