The mission of the School of Learning Resources is to increase student success and completion by providing academic services and resources to all students in all delivery formats, as well as to support faculty innovation through the sound use of educational technology and academic support services.
The library provides an abundance of print and electronic resources to support learning as well as space for individual study and group collaboration. The librarians and library staff are available at all times the library is open to answer questions and to enable access to materials.

Zero Textbook Cost textbooks, known as ZTC textbooks or OER (Open Educational Resources) for short, are digital textbooks available for free to students.
Many instructors at College of the Canyons have chosen to use these textbooks in their classrooms to cut educational costs for students. As textbook prices rise, more and more courses are utilizing ZTC textbooks to provide a free alternative to traditional textbooks.
You can take classes with free textbooks! Classes that use ZTC textbooks are listed in the class schedule. To enroll in a class without any textbook fees, open the class schedule and check the box, "Search for ZTC sections." There is a textbook icon with a slashed money sign beneath the box. Once you've checked this box, click "Submit" at the bottom of the page to generate the class sections with no textbooks costs. You can click on a class section to verify that it is a ZTC textbook course. There will be a note explaining that the class uses a no-cost digital textbook.
Taking advantage of technology, online education allows students to complete courses outside a face-to-face classroom setting by completing course lessons, activities, assignments, discussions and exams online.

The Learning Center (TLC) is a FREE tutoring resource which is dedicated to providing current COC students with individualized and group tutoring support in math, writing, computer science, chemistry, physics, history, psychology, languages, and more!
