Welcome to the Biological & Environmental Sciences department. I would like to invite you to learn more about our exciting and comprehensive Biology and Environmental programs by browsing our web site. Weather you are a Biology major, an Environmental Sciences and Environmental Studies major, interested in learning technical laboratory skills, or a non-major, we have what you need to succeed.

Starting with our state-of-the-art laboratory classrooms in the Aliso lab building, to the new Canyon Country Science building opening in the Spring 2020 semester, to our ever expanding curriculum, you can find it all here. Biology and Environmental Sciences are dynamic and exciting fields and students in our department have access to professors with a broad range of expertise, from the molecular scale to the ecosystem. Faculty in the Biological & Environmental Sciences department take pride in providing excellent opportunities for learning inside and outside the classroom to help you achieve your academic and professional goals. We are constantly improving our curriculum with innovative courses. Our study-abroad program that started in 2004 has already expanded to a 3-week stay at Biological Research Stations in the Galapagos Islands and the Ecuadorian Amazon with opportunities to do field and research work in the near future.
