Andrea Davis

Adjunct Instructor of Italian, U.S.A.


Andrea L. Davis grew up in Providence, Rhode Island, a city steeped in Italian heritage, where she studied Italian in public school, as well as in Florence, Siena, and Perugia, Italy. She went on to earn a BA from the University of Pennsylvania and an MA from UCLA, both in Italian Literature. For over 25 years she has taught Italian to both children and adults in Southern California schools, including UCLA, CSULB, Taft High School, GCC, Pierce College, COC, and Pepperdine. Andrea has also performed at the Vatican and throughout Italy as pianist, vocalist, and conductor, and has appeared in Italian roles on tv and in film. She wrote the lyrics for and sings vocals on the original song, “La vita italiana fa per me”, featured in the international Fiat 500L commercial, “Wedding”.  Andrea is passionate about making her classes fun and interactive, and enjoys sharing her Italian travel experiences and her love of Italian cinema and music with her students.
