Maria Hernandez Rios

Adjunct Instructor of Spanish, Mexico


Born and raised in Mexico City.  She holds a bachelor's degree in Political Science and Public Administration from Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM) and a Master’s Degree in Spanish Language and Literature from California State University Northridge. She taught Spanish at the secondary level at a catholic high school in San Fernando Valley for more than seven years. In 2014, she joined the department to teach first and second year Spanish at College of the College on a part-time basis. Currently, she is a tenured faculty at Glendale Community College.  Prof. Hernández enjoys teaching and loves to integrate culture into her classes.
