Isabel Palma

Emeritus Adjunct Instructor of Spanish, Chile


Born in Chile, she obtained her Bachelor degree in Education from the Metropolitan University. Other studies include Spanish Language degree from the State Technical University. She was Academic Coordinator of Spanish at the Catholic University R. S. H, in Santiago Chile for fourteen years. Professor Palma worked as a High School teacher for twenty years in her native country. She moved to California sixteen years ago where she worked a Bilingual Instructional Assistant for Valencia High School, for five years. She became a member of the Modern Languages Department at College of the Canyons since 2003, participating in different symposium, seminars and language studies programs.
