As College of the Canyons continues to maintain remote support and instruction, the
Information Technology Department has curated a list below of suggested equipment that
may be useful for working at home during this time.
*Please note that the list below are just a few suggestions, and are not required
for remote instruction or support.

Peripherals
Webcams:
Most webcams come with microphones all in one device, and HD webcams can provide better
quality videos.
External Microphones:
If you prefer to skip the video, and just have great audio.
Headsets:
Working from home may mean that other sounds cause distractions. Some headsets also
come with microphones all in one device.

Network Extenders:
WiFi signal too weak? If you're in a spot in your home where the WiFi signal is not
strong enough to support your workflow, a network extender may be useful.
Network Cables:
If you are close enough to your router, and would like a more stable internet connection,
you can try directly plugging your computer into your router. Cables come in varying
lengths.
