Police Defense Tactics Arrest & Control

NC.ARCN 001 Provides basic competencies in arrest and control techniques and knowledge regarding Use of Force (UoF) laws and policies. Learn to assess and respond effectively to threats while ensuring the safety of peace officers and the public, with an emphasis on ethical decision-making, situational awareness, and proper response to potential hazards. This foundational course explores legal standards, UoF policies, and the philosophies guiding law enforcement application of force, preparing students for real-world scenarios. This course is the first in a two-course sequence.
