  • Physical Fitness Preparation for Public Safety Certificate of Completion 

    Physical and mental fitness preparation is one of the biggest requirements you’ll need to meet in order to successfully enter a career in law enforcement or fire.  The Physical Fitness Preparation for Public Safety program is designed to help individuals prepare for the physical and mental demands of Public Safety careers, including the different Physical Ability Tests (PAT), depending on which branch of Public Safety, all applicants must pass.

    • NC.VOC-010 Physical Preparation for Public Safety I: 18.00 – 24.00 hours Introduces the principles of physical fitness and mental health for students preparing for careers in public safety, as well as those training for the Physical Ability Test (PAT).
    • NC.VOC-011 Physical Preparation for Public Safety II: 18.00 – 24.00 hours Applies principles of both physical and mental wellness for Pre-Academy students, and prospective Public Safety candidates, to prepare for Physical Ability Tests (PAT).
