Diné Language and Culture for the Workplace Certificate of Completion

Introduces students to the Diné (Navajo) language and culture, including language structure, workplace vocabulary, cultural values, history, and worldview. Emphasis will be placed on communication skills, expressing thoughts and emotions in Diné Bizaad, and understanding how language, art, storytelling, and traditions shape Diné identity and heritage.

 

  • DINE 001 - Introduction to Diné Language and Culture for the Workplace: Introduces students to the Dine (Navajo) language, its structure, and essential vocabulary for workplace conversations. This course examines key Diné cultural values, social systems, and the roles of language, art, and storytelling in shaping Dine identity and heritage, helping students understand how language and culture are intertwined.

 

  • NC.DINE002 - Intermediate Diné Language and Culture for the WorkplaceExplores intermediate skills of the Dine (Navajo) language, its structure, and key phrases for workplace conversations. Teaches students to express thoughts and emotions in Dine Bizaad while maintaining traditional values. Students will also learn important aspects of Diné culture, history, and worldview.
