Alumni Hall of Fame Vision

The quality of College of the Canyons is reflected in the achievements of its students, outstanding alumni, and friends. In honor of their accomplishments, and in recognition of others who invest in education, Dr. Dianne Van Hook initiated the creation of an Alumni Hall of Fame.

It spotlights the success of our alumni and acknowledges the role of the community college in their outstanding achievements. Those selected for admission exemplify the power and potential of a community college education. Our graduates have contributed to the advancement of business, healthcare, government, public service, education, science, the arts, sports and more.

At the same time, they serve as role models for current students, and demonstrate that by pursuing our dreams, we can achieve more than we ever believed was possible.

Selection Criteria

The College of the Canyons Alumni Hall of Fame serves to honor Outstanding Alumni Award who have achieved outstanding professional/personal accomplishments, served the community, and served College of the Canyons. Honorees acknowledge the positive influence and the role College of the Canyons played in their success. Because of what they have achieved, they serve as role models to current and former students of College of the Canyons. 

The Rising Star Alumni Award will be given to an alumni who graduated in the last decate, and shown outstanding growth in their chosen professions. These individuals recognize the positive impact College of the Canyons has had on their life and demonstrates this by continuing to pursue their dreams. These recipients are examples of Dr. Dianne G. Van Hook's belief that we can achieve more than we ever believed was possible.

The Outstanding Educator Award celebrates the exemplary contributions of alumni who have
demonstrated exceptional dedication and achievement in the field of education. This
prestigious award recognizes individuals who have gone on to make a significant impact as
educators, shaping the minds of future generations and inspiring a love for learning.
