Jill Mellady

1991

Jill Mellady, President of Mellady Direct Marketing, is a 1991 graduate of College of the Canyons. Jill earned her associate in science in business administration after nine years of study, taking classes in the evenings while working full time. In 1986, as Jill pursued her college education, she founded Mellady Direct Marketing and grew the company from its home-based beginnings into a thriving enterprise that garnered the Valley Industrial Associations (VIA) 2004 Rising Star Business of the Year award. In her role as president, Jill is responsible for developing and implementing the forward-thinking marketing and advertising strategies for which her company is renowned.

Throughout her career, Jill has continued to serve the college and Santa Clarita communities. She served as Chair of the COC Foundationin 2009,and continues tosit on the executive board. Jill has been a leader of the Culinary Institute Capital Campaign. Additionally, she serves on the Measure M Bond Citizens Oversight Committee and has been an advocate for the colleges many key initiatives for nearly a decade. In the past, Jill has been chair of the Chancellors Business Council. Beyond the campus, Jill has volunteered for the Michael Hoefflin Foundation and the Child & Family Center, and is a member of the Santa Clarita Valley Chamber of Commerce and the Valley Industrial Association. As a volunteer, Jill strives to help each organization reach the community, share its message, and expand its ability to assist local residents.

Jill credits her husband, Jim, CEO of Mellady Direct Marketing, and her children, Stephanie and Brendan, with inspiring her in every area of her life.
