The SCV Auto Dealers Association
The Santa Clarita Valley Auto Dealers Association received the 2006 College of the Canyons Outstanding Friend Award. The group is a non-profit organization comprised of approximately 13 dealers who work together to support community improvement and charitable organizations. When representatives from the College of the Canyons embarked on the development of the new automotive technology program, the auto dealers input and support was instrumental in building a meaningful and relevant program. The program is designed to train students for local employment as auto mechanics. It was because of the Santa Clarita Valley Auto Dealers Association and their commitment to assist in providing a quality program that College of the Canyons was able to offer these classes beginning in fall of 2006.
