Joan Warden

1994

Joan Warden has lived in Valencia for the past 25 years where she raised her daughter, Kelly. Joan obtained her associate degree in business from College of the Canyons and graduated with honors in 1994. Joan was an active member of the COC Alumni & Friends group, serving as chair in 2000 and 2001. She provided leadership early on to the group and offered enhanced visibility through a community column she wrote for The Signal.

Joan has given a number of years of volunteer service to COC and the community. She has volunteered for the colleges Measure C bond campaign, Valencia High girls basketball and softball boosters, the Girl Scouts of America, the LA County Library Adult Tutors Program, and the Gilded Rose Thrift Shop. She served as past President of the Hospital Guild and as a past member of the Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital Foundation Board of Directors.

Joans professional career has been spent as a legal assistant. She is currently a certified appellate specialist at a law firm in Century City. She has a passion for reading, writing and resting. She loves to attend live community theatre, local charitable events and enjoys winning at Bunko.
